Research

The research topics I’ve worked on are fairly diverse, spanning the biochemistry and biology of aging, vision, human disease, and mitochondria. The most consistent thread connecting all of my research has been mass spectrometry – which is (in my totally biased opinion) the best tool to use in science.

Currently, I’m working with Dr. Mike MacCoss and his group at the University of Washington to improve my technical skills in mass spectrometry with an emphasis on proteomics.
